Alfred Hitchcock

Alfred Hitchcock was the leading director in the film genre of Thriller's. Alfred Hitchcock was born 13 August 1899, in Leytonstone, East London. His career began int the 1920's. Hitchcock made many film's here in the UK using the expressionist form of cinema he was shown in Germany. In 1939 Hollywood beckoned and he went out there and made his first Hollywood movie "Rebecca" and this won the "Best Movie" Oscar in 1940. Hitchcock made his last film in 1976 , "Family Plot" and then died in April 1980. In nearly all of Hitchcocks films he likes to show his characters in a visual way rather than through the use of dialogue.
I choose to add this to my blog through seeing few of his thriller he is a man who we could learn from wen editing our own thriller.

Mise-en-scene

This is the minutes from our meeting:
  • Discussion of were to shoot
  • Discussion of editing
  • Use of sounds
  • Varied shot transitions and effects.
This has to be discussed as this is the most important part, this is what will give us the most marks as the editing with in the aspects of the film.

Different transitions are important as it will add class to our thriller not to mention it will add thriller conventions.
